We woke up at the crack of dawn this morning to try and secure the best possible seats for the Stevenote. Rolling in at 4am with bloodshot eyes, we took our respective spots… at roughly 200th place. By the time 5:30 rolled around, people who had the luxury of sleeping late filled the gaps where friends were holding their place in line.
Someone walked by and told us our place count at around 6:00. We were at least 350 Apple fans deep.
They ushered everyone into the Moscone Center around 7am where we waited for more than two hours. And by “everyone” I mean only one block of fans. Maybe. By the time we were walking into the Keynote, you could see fans wrapped around the exhibit hall and out the door. Word on the scene said fans were still wrapped around Howard St. We also heard that some “VIP” platinum passes couldn’t even get into the auditorium.
Anyway, here are some pictures from the morning, with an extra photo from the keynote as Steve was taking the stage.
