If you partied too hard before the first quarter ended last night, then there’s no need to worry. Spike’s got you covered.
The network has posted all the commercials from Super Bowl XLII on its website so that folks like you won’t look completely foolish around the watercooler this morning. Now you can talk about more than just Paula Abdul’s pregame performance.
The ads this year remained as diverse and hilarious as the years before. Companies ranging all the way from E*Trade to CareerBuilder.com to Toyota took advantage of the opportunity to have millions catch their promotions.
Big name sponsors like Gatorade, Budweiser and Pepsi Cola plugged their products with multiple bagillion dollar spots.
And Hollywood certainly wasn’t absent from the event. Movie, music and sports greats alike appeared in various ads throughout the show including Carmen Electra, Derek Jeter, Naomi Campbell, Alex Rocco, LL Cool J and former Saturday Night Live star Chris Katan.
Fellow SNL alum Will Ferrell, promoting his latest movie Semi-Pro, also showed up in top form and in character as Jackie Moon convincing all of America to drink Bud Light because it, “Refreshes the palate…and the loins.”
Pepsi even gave Tony Romo his only chance to go to the Bowl. He appeared briefly in an ad with Justin Timberlake, who secretly plugs his own Upper East Side restaurant (Southern Hospitality). The clip is worth watching whether you love JT and Romo or not.
