The word “comedy” doesn’t typically come to mind when a person thinks of classic movies like Casablanca. But everything is funny when it gets dubbed over by a talking yellow sponge wearing rather square slacks.

CollegeHumor.com recently featured a new video, which you can view below, with some infamous Nickelodeon cartoon characters taking liberties with great American films. It’s hard not to get discouraged staring at your worn-out VHS copy of Casablanca. Sure that film is one of the greatest movies of the century, but maybe you’ve been experiencing a waning interest in it. Well, there’s no need to panic—and no need to go renting any Diane Lane films, if you know what I mean.

SpongeBob SquarePants and all his lovely underwater friends have teamed up to bring you, the fans, reinventions of classic films including your beloved Casablanca and the witty musical romp Singin’ In the Rain. You will see Ingrid Bergman and Gene Kelly in a whole new light. And for those interested in seeing SpongeBob’s take on Brando’s portrayal of a mob boss, look no further.
