Apparently a young sailor aged 17 died in the engine room trying to escape from a fire. He never made it. Now, visitors say they hear knocking and banging on the door and pipes — much like the sounds of someone trying to get out.

As far as the Queen Mary is concerned, other weird things have been noticed around the ship. Furniture has a life of its own, moving around by unseen hands. Even little ghost children are alleged to haunt the ship’s pool.
