I love it when clichés become reality. No, pigs can’t quite fly yet. But, thanks to one unusual Belgium-based company, now we really can have pie in the sky.
The blog Life in the Fast Lane has posted an article about Dinner In the Sky, a restaurant business that gives the phrase “mile-high club” a whole new meaning.
For just $12,000, you and 21 of your closest friends can eat a gourmet meal at a table that is suspended 150 feet in the air.
It’s not quite a mile (actually, it’s nowhere near a mile), but the fact that the only thing between you and the earth below is a tiny platform for your feet to rest on should help to get your adrenaline pumping. But don’t be nervous. Seatbelts are provided.
And you can dine in the sky any time of day—breakfast, lunch or dinner! Have a cocktail party or a business luncheon. Another suspended table will be provided for presentation materials or entertainment. Be it a new model car or a grand piano, Dinner In the Sky has got you covered.
Don’t think you have to go to Belgium to get air with your meal. The company is entirely mobile and, for a price, they are willing to bring their crane and table contraptions right to you.
It might be completely ridiculous, but you have to admit it would be an incredible story. But if you’re going to go through with it, as Life in the Fast Lane suggests, be prepared to do some serious yelling because with the wind that high up, your neighbor is going to have a hard time hearing you.
