Pop Fi recently shared info about NASA’s upcoming Kepler Mission through which you can send your name into space, now NASA is all excited about its Phoenix Mars Lander‘s recent discovery.
Before it even reached out and touched the soil of the Red Planet, Phoenix sent a photo that created a stir back at home base on Earth.
A white blotch seen underneath the lander may be a patch of ice, increasing the odds that the planet could have supported life at another time. The icy area was exposed when the lander’s exhaust blew aside the topsoil upon descent.
The NASA gang has named the patch “Holy Cow” for the first words uttered when they spotted the anomaly.
On Saturday, the robotic arm made its first scoop of Martian soil.
The government agency has planned a press conference for Monday morning to talk about their early discoveries on the Arctic plain of Mars.
