I’m kind of a geek for unusual ways of recycling, so found art is one of my favorite things.  I’m also a gigantic science fiction geek, as you’ve no doubt figured out by now if you’re a regular reader of PopFi.  Putting those two things together is Dark Roasted Blend, who feature an awesome gallery of robots and ray guns made out of random recycled junk.  And I do mean random, as the robots and ray guns featured here are made out of everything from old radio tubes to a 1955 DeSoto.

While realistic robot animals are incredibly cool, my favorite is one that’s actually pretty goofy.  It’s Scott Sauer’s Scottoons creation, RoboChicken.   Just look at it and try not to smile.  It’s impossible!  RoboChicken is just too lovable for words.  Even if he does kind of look like a duck.
