You see that creepy critter above? It’s making a huge stir in Asia because it is one of two carp that people say has humanoid features. It is technically a crossbreed between the carp and the leather carp or tangerine fish (though Wikipedia says it’s a cross between a carp and an ayu sweetfish), and it is one of two female freakfish living in Chongju, South Korea. The fish has been there for 22 years, but they’re just now getting attention.
Now I don’t really see the humanoid features all that well in the provided picture, but I can see enough to know that I’m a little freaked out. I can definitely see why other folks see the humanoid features, as there is a slight nose-shape and the eyes are uncannily humanoid in shape and placement. I’d like to take a better look at its head structure, but unfortunately its skull isn’t transparent.Would it be cannibalism to eat a fish with a human face, or just creepy? I mean, if you fried it up then I imagine it’d be edible since you wouldn’t know it had a person face, but I think eating it raw like fresh sushi is kind of crossing a line.
