People are getting soft and weak these days. What passes for torture these days is an annoying buzzing noise most people won’t hear. Why, back in my day, the Dark Ages, we had real torture devices, by gum! Check out this gallery of infamous medieval torture implements from Russia. When you got strapped into the Witch’s Chair or trapped in the Head Crusher, you knew you were getting tormented! Of course, you probably died from your wounds, but that’s what you deserved for consorting with the forces of evil!
I love stuff like this. I’m such a huge nerd for medieval history. One of my favorite museums ever is the Frazier International History Museum. It has one of the largest collections of weapons in the world within its walls, and is one of the only museums in the world to be an affiliate of the Royal Armouries. If they’d have a special exhibit on medieval torture, I’d be the first through the doors! Especially if they’d let you touch some of these historical monstrosities.
