You know how your local news organization will always send an investigative reporter and cameraman to harass someone on their way to their car or inside their place of business in pursuit of a story? That’s always kind of bothered me. In some ways, I can understand that the reporter is just doing his job, but in a different way when I’m trying to do my job I wouldn’t want some blow-dried suit sticking a microphone in my face and not taking “Go away” for an answer. Most of the time, the interviewer and interviewee get into an angry tussle. Yawn. Costume shop owner Anne Bruno has a more creative way of avoiding the accusations of cyberstalking her competition while promoting her business.
Part of me just wants to dismiss Ms. Bruno… excuse me, Officer Bootsy–as completely insane. There’s this reporter confronting her about a pretty serious crime, and she responds by putting on an Easter Bunny costume and dancing around! However, the fact that she keeps promoting her business while completely avoiding the questions/humiliating the obviously angry reporter really impressed me. She’s accused of a pretty serious crime and could face jail time, so it’s in her best interest to not answer any questions. She just gets serious bonus points for doing it in the most hilariously crazy way possible.
Enjoy your daily dose of bunny-related madness!
