In what is one of the weirdest celebrity endorsements (and perhaps stretching the definition of celebrity) is the following weird advertisement for the Whoooooo! Scratch-off Game from the North Carolina Education Lottery. Apparently, Ric Flair is the most popular person in North Carolina, and he’s kept really busy in his semi-retirement doing things like this. He’s even talked about running for governor or Congress now that he’s no longer an active wrestler. I can’t believe there’s a market for celebrity endorsements for lotto tickets!
For those that aren’t in the know, Ric Flair is one of the most decorated and popular professional wrestlers in history, having put together an impressive 36-year career and having won a staggering 16 (or more) world titles. He’s been on shirts and in video games, headlined pay-per-views, and been the biggest star in his industry for pretty much all of his adult life. It’s only natural he’d appear on a few weird products while cashing in on his legacy
