Schools might be banning baggy trousers because you can smuggle a lot of guns in your britches, but customs officials in Kristiansand, Norway, have uncovered a different kind of contraband. A 22-year-old man was stopped coming through customs on his way back from Denmark because he had a tarantula in his bag. After a quick search, they found 14 royal pythons taped to his chest and 10 albino leopard geckos taped to his legs. I guess that would explain all this hissing and twitching coming from his shirt.
Now, the pythons and geckos weren’t just taped directly to his skin. That would be crazy! No, the snakes were kept in nylon stockings and the geckos were in cans. Because that’s much more sane. No one would notice all the rattling of cans as you walk. Apparently reptiles as pets are banned in Norway, which makes this kind of smuggling pretty commonplace.
Well, not exactly this kind. I imagine most smugglers aren’t this dumb. Turns out that was a lizard in his pocket and he wasn’t happy to see you.
