In the spirit of Veterans Day, even common criminals are getting in on the act and showing respect for our armed forces.  For example, in Milwaukee, Wisconson, four men pointed a gun at a man and forced him to the ground.  Once he was down, they took his keys, cell phone, wallet, and even a snack bar.  When they opened his wallet to get out the $16 inside, they saw they were actually mugging a member of the United States Army.  Upon seeing this, the group’s ringleader ordered the others to give the soldier back his stuff.

Not only did the robber display remorse, he actually thanked the Army man for his military service and repeatedly apologized for accidentally robbing him.  He didn’t just thank him, he came back as the soldier was walking away to give him a fist bump!  However, the group later robbed a convicted burglar with a prison ID card in his wallet, proving that while they might respect the service, there’s no such thing as honor among thieves.
