Life can be tough in New York’s Farragut Houses housing project. For example, recently there was a pair of robberies in the project and 19-year-old Rodney Bradford was arrested and held for 12 days on suspicion of being the stick-up man. Even though his mother and father both claimed he was at his father’s place in Harlem, we all know parents will lie to keep their kids out of jail. However, Facebook doesn’t lie. Thanks to an update that takes place a minute before the robberies, Rodney is a free man, cleared of the crime by Facebook.
Of course, they had to verify that the post was made from the computer in Harlem, but once that was established, Bradford was released from all charges. Crazy how wasting a few minutes on that social networking site kept an otherwise innocent man from the expense and pain of a criminal trial, rather than being what sends him to jail for excessive poking! Maybe getting that social networking degree in Facebook isn’t so useless after all.
