There’s nothing quite as effective as a good visual.  If you’re trying to sell something, you need a hook to make your ad memorable, and the thing that tends to stick in my mind best is a really cool image.  That’s what makes these awesome advertisement images so effective.  They’re effective enough so that you’ll want to see just what they’re selling, and once you see them, you’ll be able to connect them back to Disneyland or whoever.

The fact that the most effective ads use bad dreamscapes and nightmare images is pretty interesting.  If I had to guess, the combination of the creepy nightmare creature being vanquished and disposed of by the toddler-aged child is what makes this image work so well.  We can all relate to being little kids, and having monsters under the bed or in the closet.  Plus, since we were all kids once, we can relate to just how much fun a trip to Disneyland is, so once we’re back in that child-like mindset we’re more willing to take a spin on Space Mountain.
