It’s expensive getting a babysitter these days.  Do you know how much kids are charging to watch your children these days?  It’s downright robbery!  So, when William Farag and Nadia Redoble decided to do some actual robberies, they figured they’d save their money and bring the kids with them on the crime spree.

For awhile, it worked great.  The pair allegedly robbed a couple of pharmacies (Rite Aid and CVS) and were in the process of robbing an International House of Pancakes when the California Highway Patrol walked in on them.  If you’ve ever seen CHiPS, then you know a high speed chase would ensue.  Imagine the surprise of the cops when they found a six-year-old and a four-year-old strapped into the back seat of a car they just ran off the road!

Now, the story had a happy ending.  Well, as happy an ending as a family crime spree could have.  The kids were fine.  They’re in protective custody, and Farag and Redoble are sitting in jail in lieu of $150,000 dollars bond on robbery charges.  Odds are, they’ll get some sort of child endangerment charges, too, since it’s not entirely safe to bring the kids to an armed robbery.
