It’s that time of year where everyone is trying to cash in on Christmas.  For some stores, this means they put up a sexy nativity scene or throw some huge special sales together.  However, if you’re a chicken in Burleson, Texas, what can you do to get in the holiday spirit?  Why, you lay an egg with a cross embedded in it, of course!

Pam and Tracy Norrell, who apparently keep chickens in the Fort Worth suburb, say they were out gathering up eggs one morning then they came across an unusual egg.  Rather than being smooth, the egg had a perfect cross-shaped indentation in one flatter end.  Needless to say, that egg is going to remain uneaten.  Maybe they can display it next to Lego Jesus?

People can find religious symbolism anywhere, can’t they?  From a malformed egg to a burned iron, it seems like symbols are popping up everywhere these days.  Your guess is as good as mine as to why!
