My friend Katie likes Disney; I like zombies. You’d think the two fandoms would never intersect, but you’d be wrong. Awesomely wrong. As you can see above, you can love both beauty and hunger for brains. The Zombie Disney cosplay took place at the London MCM Expo, and you can check out an awesome gallery of the horde of undead princesses over at Oddity Central.
It’s funny, because in a way, the Disney company is attempting to rouse its animation division from the dead as well and, like these zombies, they’re using old school methods. The zombies are using practical latex makeup effects, and Disney is returning to hand-drawn animation with The Princess and the Frog. After a high profile (and disastrous) flirtation with computer animation, the Disney board of directors wisely realized it’s easier just to buy a computer animation studio and stick to what they do best: old-school animation.
