I believe in a lot of weird things. Even if I don’t believe in them personally, I’m willing to entertain the possibility that they exist. For example, from right in my backyard, there’s Bigfoot. Do I know of anyone who has seen Bigfoot personally? No, but I’m willing to entertain the idea that living in some cave somewhere is a giant man-ape with huge feet and a gentle soul (or any other crazy idea). However, I don’t have any evidence Bigfoot exists (or existed), because there are no bigfoot bones laying around. There’s a reason for that; porcupines and hedgehogs have been eating Bigfoot skeletons.
I know, it sounds crazy, right? Well… like the article says: when’s the last time you stumbled across a big pile of moose bones? Or bear bones? Or any other large animal bones? Given what we know about hedgehogs being consumers of carrion and how they’re prone to gnawing on bones, maybe they’ve been eating all the dead Bigfoots. Err, Bigfeet? All the dead Abominable Snowmen.
