It’s hard to get a cat to do anything, other than whatever the cat wants to do. So there’s no real way that Jimmy Leo, an architect from Singapore, could have taught his Munchkin cat Beibei how to stand around on two legs. Well, he could have, but it takes a whole lot of time and effort. Apparently, Beibei just stands because he wants to stand. Now, if only he could train the cat to vacuum, he’d be onto something!
My cat has a lot of personality quirks. When she was a kitten, she loved to play fetch. Even now, she likes to uncover random objects and carry them around in her mouth like a freshly-killed animal (last week, she found half of one of those hard plastic Easter eggs). While she, and most cats, do stand up on their back legs, it’s very rarely without support like this, and it’s definitely not long enough for me to get a picture of it. Otherwise, I’d have Toonces the Standing Cat.
