England has a serious obesity problem. After all, they’re a country where people are too fat to work, so there has to be something done about the weight problem. One step taken by Cardinal Heenan High School in Liverpool is to ban all fatty, unhealthy snack foods. That means no sugary drinks and definitely no potato chips. Any banned food instantly becomes 10 times tastier because you can’t get it, so Joe Bradley and his son Joel stepped in to fill the gap by starting a black market sweets market at the high school. Joel, the school’s crisps dealer, got suspended for violating the banned food rules.
Unjust laws are made to be broken, citizens! Fight the power!
Apparently, Joe used to operate a forbidden food van outside of the school, and he feels his son is paying the price for his actions. Given that Joel makes about £15 when pushing his delicious potatoes, can you blame him? That’s profit, and that’s even with a very low markup! Imagine how much he could make with some bootleg pork chop sandwiches or black market waffles!
