It all started with one couple. As they were paying their bill at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania eatery the Aramingo Diner, they decided to do a good deed. They picked out another couple at random and paid for their dinner. They didn’t know the couple; that was the whole point. They just did a completely random good deed. Then, something wonderful happened. That couple paid for another person’s dinner. And that person did likewise. Two hours later, the chain of surprise gifts was still going strong, until one Grinch finally broke the spell. Still, the good deeds have struck a chord in the City of Brotherly Love.
Maybe I’m just a sap, but I love feel-good stuff like this. I can be pretty morbid, what with the demonic Santa pictures and all, but deep down? I’m a nice guy. Just don’t spread that around, because I’ve got a reputation to maintain.
