Beer Bottle Christmas Tree

Posted 12/22/2009 8:30 am by

beer-bottle-christmas-tree.jpg

Nothing gets you in the Christmas spirit quite like, well, little taste of Christmas spirits, if you know what I mean and I drink you do.  That said, what do you do with all your leftover bottles?  Well, artists in Shanghai, China, have taken over 1000 Heineken bottles, cleaned them, and turned them into a giant Christmas tree.  Of course, they used full bottles, but where’s the fun in that?

This is a really cool idea, and a great guerilla advertisement for Heineken.  I’m not a big fan of the beer, but I am a big fan of this statue.  And to think, after the holidays and after all that beer is drank or thrown out, they can turn the bottles into a gigantic game of beer bottle dominoes!

Did you watch the State of the Union Address last night?  If you’re anything like me, you didn’t.  After all, Obama’s made this kind of speech on a regular basis since he got elected, and most people hate it when their television schedule gets upset by a stupid political thing, so like a lot of [...]
