The year was only a day old when the first cryptid photo of 2010 showed up over at Coast to Coast AM with George Noory‘s website. It’s a blurry creature that some are calling the Maine Tree Creature, but as always with cryptid sightings, I turn to Cryptomundo, who have dubbed the creature a blobsquatch. Unlike previous creepy critters spotted here at PopFi, this one has an easy explanation. It looks just like a North American Porcupine; that’s America’s second-largest rodent.
But still, what fun is a rational, measured look at a photograph in an objective manner? No fun, that’s what! Obviously, this isn’t some standard porcupine, but a newly discovered prehistoric porcupine that feeds off the bones of Sasquatches and Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) and all the other cryptids that I know are out there but that nobody’s managed to catch and beat to death yet.
