I think most of us have noticed that when we go to buy a snack these days, you’re paying more for less. Whether it’s to cut price, cut calories, or just odd packaging, there’s just not as much snack food in our snack food bags. Nobody knows this like Phil Jackson from Wanguri, Northwest Territory, Australia. When he picked up a package of Cheese Rings from a Coles supermarket, he was shocked to discover upon opening that it had only one cheese ring inside.
The bag was one from one of those large variety packs, but Coles spokesman Jim Cooper has already promised to make things right by Jackson, saying, “We certainly aren’t in the business of giving people a single cheese ring in the packet.” Jackson, in true Aussie fashion, is taking his predicament in stride, noting that he got an extra piece of chicken from KFC last week.
While I’ve never gotten one chip in a bag, I have gotten half-filled and totally empty cans of soda, as well as those deformed 20 ounce bottles where the soda is filled all the way up to the top, but is flat or otherwise undrinkable due to a mistake in packing.
