Some Mexican thieves got more than they bargained for when they hijacked a shipment in Mexico City. The three men hopped into a truck at Mexico City’s airport and took off with the contents. The police gave chase, and soon a high speed pursuit was in progress. The truck gets wrecked, two of the three guys get arrested, and the contents of the truck get returned to the rightful owner. So, what were these guys so desperate to steal? Ferrets.
Turns out the truck the guys stole contained 150 ferrets shipped from the United States to a Mexican veterinarian for resale as pets. Now, here’s the question: did they know they were stealing ferrets, or was this just an accident? If they did steal ferrets deliberately, were they going to train them to be assistant thieves like in The Beastmaster? Because if so, that’s awesome. Even if some ferrets are too religious to take part in theft, they have a natural ability to sneak around and take off with shiny objects.
