It looks like some kind of futuristic travel pod, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. Behind that aerodynamic shell is a simple Honda Wave Innova motorcycle that has been customized to get over 214 miles per gallon of fuel by velomobile designer Allert Jacobs. Not only did his design make the vehicle more fuel conservative, it also reduces exposure to the elements AND increases the vehicle’s top speed. That’s right, it made that 9 horsepower work harder and smarter thanks to a whole lot of redesign work on Allert’s part. Just check out all the customizing work he’s done!
All that work, and his 214mpg gas-sipper is still street legal, thanks to working lights in the back and front. Amazing what you can accomplish when you just have a vision, right? Not only does it work better than the old motorcycle did, it also looks much, much cooler than any moped I’ve ever seen. That’s a double bonus!
