When your mother was four feet long and 42 pounds, and your father was 35 pounds and 3 feet long, the end result is going to be a pretty big bunny. Ralph, a child of Amy and Rodolpho, two Continental Giant rabbits, is already larger than both his parents, and he’s only a year old. He’s a shoo-in to be registered by Guinness as the largest rabbit in the world; all owner Pauline Grant is waiting on is the proper paperwork.
So, how big is Ralph? Well, he’s already larger than his 4-foot-long mother. He weighs more than the average three-year-old child. He eats his way through $15 worth of food per day. A rabbit that size could create a whole lot of bio-fuel, and I’m not talking about after he passes on, either.
