You can’t fault someone for having a dream, but when your dream is to weight nearly half a ton, well… you expect a little criticism. Donna Simpson, from New Jersey, is already the world’s fattest mother (she gave birth to a daughter in 2007 while weighing 531 pounds), but that’s not enough. She wants to be the world’s fattest woman, and she’ll let nothing stand in her way. Especially not a box of doughnuts, which are her favorite food.
However, if there’s one thing you can say about Donna, it’s that at least she has a job. In order to make ends meet and pay her $815-per-month food bill, she has a website in which people pay to watch her eat fast food. She’s gonna need a lot of fast food to hit her goal.
To reach 1,000 pounds by 2012, she’ll need to eat 12,000 calories per day, well over the daily requirement. The average person is supposed to eat between 2,000 and 2,500 calories per day in order to maintain a healthy weight. Here’s world-class athlete Michael Phelps’ 12,000-calories-a-day training menu, for an example of what that kind of serious eating entails.
