You know the old song, “You say tomato, and I say to-mah-to.  You say potato, and I say cocaine-o.  Let’s snort the whole thing up our nose!”  Or not.  Police say a 21-year-old man in Athens, Alabama had a unique disguise for his five ounces of cocaine.   After being tipped off that a man in a silver Mustang had drugs, police approached him outside of a restaurant.  He told them they could search the car, and when police looked through it, they found only a take-out plate with chicken, rice, and a foil-wrapped potato.  As it turns out, the potato was actually cocaine.

Pretty sneaky!  You have to admit, disguising your drugs as food is a pretty clever idea.  As coke hiding places go, it’s not terribly effective, but it’s not exactly dumb, either.  As we’ve established, hiding something in plain sight is the best way to hide it.  If the cops hadn’t known he had drugs on him, they never would’ve found his drugs.
