What were you doing when you were 12 years old? For most kids these days, that’s probably playing FarmVille or some other video game. For a kid of my generation, it was probably playing Super Nintendo and talking on the phone. For Kamron Doyle, none of that stuff will do. At 12, he’s the youngest person in professional bowling to win money on the PBA tour after taking home a $400 check for a 30th-place finish at the Canton (Georgia) Open Regional.
On the surface, finishing 30th doesn’t sound like much. However, when you consider he was squaring off against 94 other bowlers, most of whom are professionals and all of whom are probably twice his age? It’s pretty impressive. Then again, Kamron is nothing if not an incredible bowler. He started in his hometown of Brentwood, Tennessee, at age 7 after attending a friend’s birthday party, and he’s the youngest person to ever roll an 800 series.
Just imagine how good this kid will be when, you know, he becomes an adult and gets a little more power behind his throws! I couldn’t roll an 800 if you gave me 5 games, let alone 3!
