It looks like a scene out of a movie, doesn’t it? Like The Birds 3: Smoke Out! or something equally as cheesy and lame. However, it’s not fake. This is the scene that British tourists Tony and Judie Ellis (amusingly enough, from Crowborough in Sussex) caught on film in the Maldives, right next to their water villa. A crow landed on the roof with a stolen pack of smokes, and soon three others joined him on the roof for a smoke break, with one of the crows handing out cigarettes to the other birds!
While the Maldives are known for some cheeky birds, Judy says this is weird even for those notoriously troublesome birds. “We have been to the Maldives four times before but never seen any sort of crow behavior like that. I was lucky to be able to record this on my camera.”
Seems like snakes aren’t the only creatures that need a smoke break. I wonder where on earth the birds even got hold of a pack of smokes, let alone how they knew to get them out and put them in their beaks the right way. Nature is weird.
