For some reason, Joy L. Cassidy has a serious problem with the library. According to police in Boise, Idaho, the 74-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday for dumping a jar of mayonnaise into an Ada County Library book drop. According to cops, she’s also a suspect in 10 other condiment-related vandalism cases, most of which also involve the book drops of the local library. Library workers first discovered that their book drops were being vandalized in 2009, when the drop was covered in ketchup and corn syrup.
Really weird, isn’t it? What did the library ever do to her? There’s no telling; maybe she’s just a little on the senile side of 74. Maybe she’s got some really late books. Either way, food is usually getting vandalized, not being used as a tool for vandalism. You have to give her credit for creativity, at least.
