America is out of the World Cup, but that doesn’t mean the vuvuzela news is ending. Oh no, you can’t get away from them that easily. In Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, a man has lost an eye after a group of teenagers, two 18-year-olds and a 16-year-old beat him up and tried to take his vuvuzela. Now attacking someone for using a vuvuzela makes perfect sense to me, but apparently the teens attacked the man with the horn because they claimed the vuvuzela belonged to their friend.
Yeah, their friend Oscar the Grouch maybe. The teens were charged with assault and theft and were released on bail. As for the man with the vuvuzela, he wasn’t charged with anything, although they ought to be able to book him on charges of making a racket in public or being criminally obnoxious.
