When one man makes a bet, he keeps it no matter what.  A Las Cruces, New Mexico man bet his friends that he’d set his prosthetic leg on fire if he lost a bet.  He lost the bet, and then proceeded to set himself on fire.  First the leg caught fire, then the flames spread to the rest of him.  His friends put him out and helped him undress due to the pain, but on the way to the hospital they chickened out and ended up dumping the burned, naked, one-legged man on the side of the road along US Route 70.

The bet was that whoever of the friends drank the least would allow himself to be lit on fire.  Obviously, the one-legged man lost.  Fortunately, the police discovered the man before the chupacabras could and he was taken to a Texas burn center.  He had severe burns on his leg, butt, and lower back.
