Max, a Labrador Retriever, may as well be another member of Donna Gardner’s family. Like most pet owners, she loves her dog and thinks he’s special.  Unlike most pet owners, Donna might actually be right.  When Max was accidentally left in a hot car during the afternoon, he knew the best way to get attention thanks to having watched Donna drive.  Max honked the horn until his owners came out and got him!

While running errands, Donna brought Max with her.  Unfortunately, when she got home, she forgot and left Max in the car while she went inside.  After an hour of cleaning, she heard the horn.  She went outside, didn’t see anything, and went back inside. Then the horn honked again and boom, there was Max in the driver’s seat, panting and overheated.  Max was overheated, but otherwise fine, thanks to his own quick thinking!

“You have to know Max. He’s a very smart dog and he just does things that I don’t think a normal dog does all the time,” said Gardner.  Crazy!  Donna just better be hopeful that Max doesn’t hold a grudge and bring a snake into the house to get his revenge.
