Porky Pig is an fairly inoffensive character. He’s not violent like Daffy Duck, a drunkard like Donald Duck, or malicious like Bugs Bunny. Porky’s main character flaw is his lack of pants, but aside from that he’s a pretty nice pig who seems like he’s pretty sweet. It makes you wonder why anyone would beat him up, but that’s what happened at the Gurnee, Illinois, Six Flags. Police say two men beat up a woman in a Porky Pig costume.
The two men, 20-year-old Taras Sikalchuk and 19-year-old Dmytro Petrychenko, were actually employees of the park who were off duty. After snapping a picture together with Porky, the two men turned their frustrations on the poor 24-year-old woman stuffed inside the pungent suit, pummeling her with 10-15 blows to the head. She was left with a sore neck and headaches; they were given citations for battery and animal abuse.
Okay, it was just battery.
