In his former life, Chris Wuebben was a hero. He served in the armed forces in Iraq as a combat medic, where he used his life-saving skills to preserve the health of his fellow soldiers. Once he returned to civilian life, however, things settled down and he got a job as a pizza delivery guy. Now, thanks to his pizza job, he’s a hero as a civilian, having saved the life of a man he was delivering a pizza to.
George Linn has a history of heart problems, and he was in the throes of a massive heart attack when George’s wife Kami opened the door. There stood the delivery man with a fresh-baked pizza they’d just ordered (pizza is probably not the best thing for a guy with heart problems to eat, but maybe it was a veggie pizza). When she saw the burly Chris standing there, she immediately asked him for help. Wuebben jumped into action, performing CPR on George and preserving his life until paramedics arrived and rushed George to the hospital.
While George isn’t out of the woods yet (he’s in critical condition at a hospital in Lakewood, Colorado), that doesn’t make Chris any less of a hero. Good for you, man! Hope he tipped you REALLY well!
