Some might say Jimmy Johnson is already a survivor. I mean, he coached one of the biggest football programs in the college universe when he was at the University of Miami. When he left that job, he joined one of the biggest football programs in the professional universe when he took on the job as coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Following success at all levels of coaching, he then went on to join the very popular NFL on Fox broadcasting team. Now, if the rumors are true, Jimmy Johnson might be joining the cast of the next series of Survivor.
Johnson, as I said, works for Fox at the moment, but Survivor isn’t a Fox show. Survivor is actually on Fox’s competitor and fellow NFL broadcaster CBS. While Survivor filming won’t interfere with his NFL duties (which is a shame because I’d have loved to see Johnson broadcasting live from a deserted island), it is competition for his current network home. Wouldn’t it be a great bit of casting on CBS’s part to get Johnson for both their NFL coverage and on their leading reality television program?
