It started in the stoner and weirdo capital of the United States, Venice Beach, California. Four friends got together to create a treat that could be enjoyed by everyone. We’re talking kosher, vegetarian, and all-natural, yet still edible and delicious. Sounds tough, right? Well, it was tough, until trained chef Danial Holtszman and Project Runway creator Eli Holtzman came up with Q-Bees, a crispy marshmallow cereal treat wrapped around ice cream!
Basically, a Q-Bee is like the love child of an off-brand Kellogg’s Rice Krispy Treat square and a Klondike Bar, without the chocolate shell. Unlike some other food combination we’ve seen here at PopFi, this is actually one I’d love to try. They come in three ice cream options: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Unfortunately, the rice cereal will stay the same. I’d love to combine chocolate-flavored crispy rice cereal with vanilla ice cream, or maybe a double-chocolate Q-Bee. Or, you could just add a thin layer of chocolate to the outside of the Q-Bee and make the rice-marshmallow layer a little thinner.
Or, you know, do all those things. Get creative with your ice cream flavors!
