He challenged me to what, now?
When Taylor Lautner needed a new trailer to use as a dressing room during the making of the latest installment of the Twilight series, he turned to custom RV dealer Brent McMahon’s shop, McMahon’s RV in Irvine, California. When the $300,000 RV didn’t show up on time or in the promised condition, Lautner’s people took McMahon to court, filing a $40,000 breach of contract lawsuit. However, the 49-year-old McMahon doesn’t believe the case needs to go in front of the court, and he’s got an alternate plan. In order to settle the lawsuit, RV dealer Brent McMahon has challenged Taylor Lautner to a push-up contest, winner take all. Or rather, winner donates to charity.
I wonder if McMahon has actually seen Taylor Lautner. I mean, this kid is absolutely shredded. Not only does he have killer biceps, he’s also, you know, not pushing 50. Challenging him to a push-up contest might make for good promotion, but it’s not the smartest way to actually get the lawsuit resolved. Unless, of course, you’re willing to fork over $40,000 to get the name McMahon’s RV in every newspaper in the country.
“McMahon RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place,” sniffed Lautner’s legal eagles. McMahon’s legal team has promised to vigorously defend the lawsuit in court, unless of course Lautner accepts the challenge. It makes for good TV for the new Twilight-themed reality shows in the works!
