Katy Perry’s just hanging out with puppets these days, apparently.  The singer, just a few days after her Sesame Street appearance was canceled because of too much cleavage and controversy, has found some new puppet pals to hang out with.  For Perry’s upcoming appearance on a December 5 appearance on The Simpsons, Perry has filmed an appearance alongside a group of Simpsons puppets.

Jested Simpsons producer Al Jean, “In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry.”  Weirdly, the Simpsons footage was filmed before Perry’s Sesame Street appearance, but no doubt the writers of The Simpsons who worked Perry into the episode as Moe’s girlfriend (and singer of The 39 Days Of Christmas) knew of the then-upcoming, now-called-off, Elmo appearance and wanted to work off that.  She was too sexy for one group of puppets, but just right for another group of puppets.
