Police in Cheyenne, Wyoming got a strange surprise when they showed up to investigate a domestic dispute at Brian Mattert’s home. When they arrived, they found the man of the house covered in latex paint. Mattert had hastily covered himself in white latex paint in an attempt to prevent the officers from using a Taser on him. He claimed that, because the paint was wet, if officers Tased him, he’d die. As it turns out, that’s not true.
As it turns out, covering yourself in latex paint won’t affect how a Taser works, as Mattert found out the hard way. After he scuffled with cops, he was Tasered not once, but twice, in an effort to get him under control. Mattert was handcuffed and arrested; officers had to send their uniforms out for cleaning after the arrest thanks to the paint coating. It’s an A for effort, but an F minus for effectiveness.
