Roy Halladay is a great pitcher. We knew that before he took the mound during the first round of the National League playoffs yesterday. What he did when he toed the rubber yesterday just cemented the legend of the man known as Doc. The playoffs are for the cream of the crop; you’re not supposed to throw playoff no-hitters, yet the right-handed Halladay did just that, throwing the first no-hit game in the Major League Baseball playoffs since Don Larsen’s perfect game in the World Series in 1956. Halladay’s Philadelphia Phillies beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-0.
