For his birthday, a coworker of Paul Vitale picked up a nice birthday present online. It was a used copy of Kennedy’s 1960 book, The Strategy of Peace. It’s a thoughtful gift and a pretty inexpensive one, to be sure. No doubt Vitale was thrilled, but the thrill was even greater when he discovered a surprised. Tucked between pages 62 and 63 of Vitale’s book was a business card autographed by Jack Kennedy.
Jack would, of course, be JFK himself. The card is one of Kennedy’s business cards when he was the Senator for Massachusetts between 1953 and 1960. Kennedy would go on to become President in 1961. No one knows where the book came from; Vitale’s coworker in Little Rock, Arkansas, bought the book online for $4.49. Autographed copies of Twilight go for more than that!
