Sometimes, the reason for an incident isn’t necessary. Sometimes, the reason doesn’t really matter, because the whys aren’t nearly as interesting as what actually happens. That might be the case for Christopher Nathan Davenport, a 23-year-old man from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. On Friday, sheriff’s deputies tried to arrest Davenport for driving his tractor recklessly and tearing up yards. Unfortunately, when cops tried to stop him, Christopher Davenport decided he’d try to run the deputies down with the tractor.
Fortunately for the sheriff’s deputies, they were able to somehow evade a glorified lawn mower, which promptly crashed into a tree. Davenport then made a run for it, only to find himself caught and arrested by Rutherford County’s finest. He was captured and arraigned on theft, resisting arrest, vandalism, and, unsurprisingly, drug possession.
Shocking, isn’t it? A guy randomly tractoring his neighbor’s yard was on drugs!
