All Guadalupe Cruz-Vasquez wanted to do was go back home. To that end, he walked into the office of the Jerome County Sheriff’s Department and asked officers to deport him back to his homeland for being an illegal immigrant. The police refused to take him into custody, despite his demands. So he did something to ensure the cops would listen to them. Guadalupe Cruz-Vasquez walked to a nearby police station and stole a cop car so police would deport him.
Well, as it turns out, if you steal a cop car, they’ll deport you, according to Jerome County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Duane Rubink. Cruz-Vasquez drove the car to Carey, where police tracked down the vehicle and its occupant on the side of the road. The car was out of gas. Cruz-Vasquez will get his wish; police officials are making arrangements to have him deported.
I guess if you want a free trip back to wherever, you have to work for it, so get those lips in gear!
