In Northampton, thieves were targeting the Michael Jones Jewellers for a daring daylight robbery. Some of the thieves smashed at the windows with sledgehammers while getaway drivers waited nearby on mopeds. All involved wore helmets to conceal their identity. As the crooks smashed at windows with hammers, bystanders kept on walking. Except for one brave woman. A woman, armed only with a purse, chased off an entire gang of hammer-wielding thugs and stopped a daylight robbery single-handedly.
“Clearly we will recognise her for her bravery,” said Inspector Peter Chisholm of the Northampton police. “She stayed at the scene and the arresting officers took her details. We won’t be releasing her name though. There might be more members of the gang out there and we wouldn’t want to put her in any danger.”
Ha, like this woman is afraid of gang members. She’s already chased off six of them; what’s a few more? Four of the six gang members have been captured by police so far. As for the woman, I think she deserves a reward, don’t you? Maybe some free jewelery!
