When it comes to life-sized Transformers, perhaps they work better as statues in California than they do as drive-able semi trucks in New York City.  The Bumblebee statue is going to attract nothing more than weird looks, but apparently Optimus Prime can attract parking tickets.  A life-sized version of Optimus Prime got a parking ticket outside of Hasbro’s Toy Fair in New York City on Sunday.  Whoops!

I guess saving the world from the Decepticons isn’t enough to get you out of a parking citation.  I mean, if Batman can get a parking ticket, then anyone is able to pick up a citation.  You have to wonder, though; why did Hasbro bring in an Optimus Prime and then not find a place for it to park where it wouldn’t get ticketed?  Are they just willing to pay the fine in exchange for the publicity in this case?  You’d have to think so.  Surely this is a deliberate move on Hasbro’s part to get a little extra attention for their product lines.
