When delegates poured into Santa Monica for the DOMAINfest Global Conference on Internet business, they were expecting to see the sights, do a little partying, and network.  What they weren’t expecting was to end up in the hospital. Over 170 people at the DOMAINfest Global Conference have taken sick with a mystery ailment.

Interestingly, one of the places that the conference members partied was the Playboy Mansion, centerpiece of the Playboy Empire.  Uh oh.  I think someone drank the water in the grotto or got a little too close to some Bunny-droppings or something.  The symptoms of the unidentified illness are similar to a respiratory infection:  fever, chills, and related symptoms.

While the delegates ended up sick, no one from the Playboy Mansion has reported feeling under the weather.  Must be something that happened in Santa Monica, or perhaps at the convention’s group hotel.
